PRESCHOOL AT CUMBRES INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL MÉXICO

From preschool, our students learn through methodologies with 3 characteristics, which is why we call them CAR:

• Cooperative
• Active
• Reflective

Problem- and challenge-based learning, experiments, collaborative centers, case studies, and project-based learning are the methodologies that allow students to be the protagonists of the teaching and learning process. Through individual or cooperative work, they build and apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop competencies for life.

We help children begin developing social-emotional skills such as:

• Prosociality: achieved through play. We help students develop social skills and create a positive environment with their peers.
• Motivation: beyond giving a prize or reward, we encourage them to feel motivated by the satisfaction of completing a task or achievement.
• Self-awareness: through activities, we help students identify and name their own emotions and those of others, in order to express them assertively.

We educate at every moment, in every space and environment. Every opportunity, inside and outside the classroom, is used to carry out an educational and formative intervention. We have a variety of resources that support us in this process:

• Formative environments and spaces — flexible, interactive, and collaborative — that foster personal, meaningful, and community learning.
• Educational materials, both physical and digital, that help enhance each student's abilities according to the expected graduate profile.
• Educational technology that supports research and the creation of content and solutions.

Through sports, our students get to know themselves, learn to overcome challenges, build willpower and character, and develop psychomotor, emotional, social, and intellectual skills.

We also give students constant exposure to art and culture, helping them develop critical and creative thinking as well as a range of emotional skills.

We offer optional cultural and sports academies starting in Kindergarten 1 so our students can keep strengthening their body awareness.
